Partnerships for Innovation
2018 Partnerships for Innovation (PFI) Grantee Conference
The PFI Grantee Conference will be held on Monday, June 4 – Wednesday, June 6 at the Marriott Marquis hotel in Atlanta, GA. The event is being held in conjunction with the 2018 NSF SBIR/STTR Phase II Grantee Conference. PFI grantees will participate in a few separate sessions and panels, but will also attend many sessions of the SBIR/STTR Conference, including the Technology Showcase and entrepreneurial education seminars. Online registration is now closed. Please contact [email protected] for assistance with registration or payment.
The 2018 PFI Grantee Meeting has the following objectives:
- Immerse in entrepreneurial education and training sessions;
- Learn about the best practices and challenges of building and growing a small business;
- Engage with PFI Program Directors during one-one-one meetings and breakout Q&A sessions;
- Participate in the Technology Showcase and meet with industrial technology scouts and investors;
- Engage in one-on-one meetings with interested industrial attendees with an eye towards establishing collaborations and partnerships; and
- Learn and share technology concepts and insights with a vibrant academic and small business community of innovators.
Space is limited at this year’s event! Each Principal Investigator is asked to attend the entire event, and strongly encouraged to bring one student associated with the active PFI award being represented at the conference. PFI students and their faculty mentors will receive training in communicating to investors/funders, and will participate in a pitch competition. The PFI teams will benefit from exposure to the SBIR/STTR program and meetings with the many industry representatives attending the co-located IRI Annual Meeting. You will have an opportunity to forward an invitation to your selected student through the online registration system.
